Districts constituted under “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875.”

A PROCLAMATION.

I N pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration district known as the Riverton District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Orepuki and Riverton Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the fifteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.

Districts constituted under “The Marriage Act, 1880.”

A PROCLAMATION.

I N pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1880,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage district known as the Riverton District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follow:—

OREPUKI DISTRICT.

All that area in the Southland Land District bounded towards the north by the Waiau Survey District from the Waiau River to the western boundary of the Aparima Hundred; thence towards the east by the Aparima Hundred to its south-western corner; thence by a right line to the source of the Ourawera Stream; and thence by that stream to the ocean; thence towards the south and south-west generally by the ocean to the Waiau River; and thence towards the west generally by that river to the place of commencement.

RIVERTON DISTRICT.

All that area in the Southland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the Aparima and Oreti Hundreds from the south-western corner of the Aparima Hundred to the Waimatuku Stream; thence towards the east generally by the said Waimatuku Stream to the ocean; thence towards the south generally by the ocean to the Ourawera Stream; thence towards the west generally by the said Ourawera Stream to its source; and thence by a right line to the south-western corner of the Aparima Hundred, the place of commencement.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the fifteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.

Defining the Middle Line of a Further Portion of the Paeroa–Waihi Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

W HEREAS the Paeroa–Waihi Railway—namely, from Paeroa to Waihi (hereinafter termed “the said railway”)—is a railway the construction of which is authorised by “The Railways Authorisation Act, 1899”: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and in exercise of every
