Land Transfer Act Notices.
A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of
a provisional certificate of title, in the name of
JAMES BROCK TARR, of Makara, Dairyman, for part
Section 45, Makara District, being the land comprised in
certificate of title, Vol. xxix., folio 288, and evidence
having been lodged of the loss of the said certificate of title,
I hereby give notice that I will issue the provisional certifi-
cate of title as requested unless caveat be lodged forbidding
the same on or before the 26th day of July, 1900.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
CANTERBURY DISTRICT.
In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its
amendments; and in the matter of the Ashburton News-
paper Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-
up of the above-named company by the Supreme
Court was, on the 26th day of June, 1900, presented to Mr.
Justice Edwards, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by Joseph
Ivess, of Ashburton, Journalist, a creditor of the said com-
pany; and the said petition is directed to be heard before a
Judge of the said Court on the 24th day of July, 1900; and
any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous
to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the
said company under the above Act should appear at the
time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose;
and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor
or contributor of the said company requiring the same by
the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the
same.

NOTICE OF FINAL MEETING.
REX HILL TIN-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).
NOTICE is hereby given that the affairs of the Rex
Hill Tin-mining Company (Limited), (in liquidation),
having been fully wound up, and the Liquidator having
made up an account showing the manner in which such
winding-up has been conducted and the property of the
company disposed of, a General Meeting of the company
will be held at the registered office of the company, in
Australian Mutual Provident Society’s buildings, on Satur-
day, the 22nd day of September next, at 8 o’clock p.m., for
the purpose of having the said account laid before them
and hearing any explanation that may be given by the
Liquidator.
