Small Grazing-runs, Marlborough, for Lease on Application.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned small grazing-runs will be open for lease on application on and after Tuesday, the 27th day of February, 1900, at the half-yearly rentals stated.

Nearly all steep hills, very broken, with a large area of useless rock and shingle on the upper slopes of the Seaward Kaikouras. About 4,200 acres bush, of which some 600 acres along the River Clinton is good, consisting of rimu, matai, and totara; remainder inferior birch. The fenced paddock locally known as Parsons’s Clearing is in this run; it contains 250 acres of well-grassed flat and ridge. Well watered. Eleven miles from Kaikoura—by formed road, nine miles; by unformed, two miles.

One thousand acres bush, inferior birch on ridges, fair mixed bush in valleys; the lower portions can be advantageously cleared and grassed. Well watered. Thirteen miles and a half from Kaikoura—nine miles by formed road, and remainder by dray-track up river-bed.

Sixteen miles from Kaikoura—nine miles by formed road, and seven miles by pack-track.

Nearly all steep hills (altitude, 600 ft. to 4,000 ft.), mostly covered with bush, rimu, matai, and totara in some of the valleys, with inferior birch on the ridges; remainder tussock spurs. Some 600 acres easy limestone faces that would pay to clear. Well watered. Seventeen miles from Kaikoura, eleven miles of which is by good formed road.

Pastoral Run, Marlborough, for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned pastoral run will be offered for lease by public auction, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, on Thursday, the 22nd February, 1900, at 11 a.m.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
Run No. 144, Gore Survey District: Area, 600 acres; term, 11 years; upset annual rental, £5.
Very broken country, covered with scrub and light bush, mostly cedar.
The above run will be sold generally in accordance with the provisions of Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1892.”
Possession will be given on day of sale.
Purchaser must deposit a statutory declaration required by section 62 of “The Land Act, 1892,” and pay the sum of the half-year’s rent and license-fee (£1 1s.) on the fall of the hammer.
The right is reserved to resume any portion of the run for public purposes.

THE under-mentioned Crown lands will be open for selection on lease in perpetuity on Tuesday, the 6th March, 1900. If more than one application be received for the same allotment on the same day, then the order of selection shall be decided by ballot on the following day at 11 a.m., at the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned land will be opened for selection on lease in perpetuity, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Monday, the 26th February, 1900, under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892,” “The Land for Settlements Act, 1894,” the Land for Settlements Act Amendment Acts, 1895 and 1896, and the regulations made thereunder.
If more than one application be received for the same allotment on the same day, then the order of selection shall be decided by ballot at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland. If the sections be not applied for on the 26th February, they will be open for application thereafter at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland.
