THE LION GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).
NOTICE OF INCREASE OF CAPITAL.
THE undersigned, Manager, hereby give notice that an increase in the capital of the above-named company was, on the 10th day of May, 1900, resolved on.
The mode adopted for the increase is by issuing 4,500 new shares of one pound (£1) each, in addition to the 12,000 shares now existing in the company.
The 4,500 new shares created are preference shares, and are issued in terms of the following resolutions, viz.:—

That the nominal capital of the company shall be increased from twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) to sixteen thousand five hundred pounds (£16,500) by the creation and issue of four thousand five hundred additional shares of the value of one pound (£1) each, to be called C shares, and to be paid up as follows: viz., 1s. per share on application, 1s. per share on allotment, and the balance in calls not exceeding 1s. per share at intervals of not less than one month.

That the C shares shall be entitled to dividends equal in all to the amount called up on such shares, before any dividend is paid on any other shares, and in the event of the company being wound up shall be entitled to payment out of the company’s assets of the amount paid up on such C shares (less the amount of any dividends previously paid on same), before any payments are made in respect of any other shares. When C shares have received dividends equal to the amount called up thereon they shall rank thereafter equally with B shares.

That, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the prospectus or rules of the company, the date from which A shares shall have priority over B shares in the matter of dividends shall be the date when C shares shall have received in dividends the full amount called up thereon.
