to time, as he shall think fit, to direct the use of tables
approved from time to time by him for payment of sums
of money at death and otherwise: And whereas it is ex-
pedient for the purposes of the said Act to direct the use of
the tables hereinafter specified:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the said Act and “The
Government Life Insurance Act, 1886,” and of all other
powers and authorities vested in him in this behalf, and by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby approve of the tables set
forth in the Schedule hereto, and doth direct the use of
such tables as aforesaid under and for the purposes of the
said Acts.

TABLE VI.
ENDOWMENTS (with return of Premiums) for Children
and Others.
Premiums for £100, payable at the end of a specified
term of years in the event of survival, all Premiums
paid being returned in the event of previous death.

ENDOWMENTS for CHILDREN.
Yearly Premiums (ceasing on death of Purchaser) for £100,
payable at the end of a specified term of years in the
event of survival of the child, the Premiums paid
(less 10 per cent.) being returned in the event of the
child’s death before the maturity of the Endowment.

Under this table the Purchaser will be required to undergo
a medical examination.
Half-yearly premiums are one-half of the yearly premiums
increased by 2½ per cent.
Quarterly premiums are one-quarter of the yearly premiums
increased by 5 per cent.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
seventh day of March, 1900.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by Order in Council bearing date the
twentieth day of December, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-nine, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand did, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers vested in him by “The Government Life
Insurance Act, 1886,” and “The Government Insurance
and Annuities Act, 1874” (hereinafter termed “the said
Acts”), approve of the tables contained in the Schedule to
the said Order in Council: And whereas it is expedient to
alter the designations of the tables aforesaid, and to sub-
stitute others in lieu thereof: Now, therefore, His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in him by the said Acts, and of all other powers and
authorities vested in him in this behalf, and by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, does hereby approve of the alterations of the desig-
nations of the aforesaid tables as set forth in the Schedule
