the sale or disposal of land, and in like manner from time
to time may appoint land offices and land officers or other
persons for conducting sales of land in such local districts,
and for receiving applications for the sale, letting, disposal,
or occupation of Crown lands, and for generally carrying
into effect the provisions of the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the district described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby established, defined, and consti-
tuted a local land district for the sale and disposal of land
under the said Act, and that the land office the name of
which is in the said Schedule set opposite the name of the
said local district is appointed the land office for the said
local district.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the one-hundred-and-seventy-second
section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of every other power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Uchter John
Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands mentioned in the
Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections
one hundred and seventy-two to one hundred and eighty-six
of Part V. of “The Land Act, 1892,” relating to small
grazing-runs.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by the one-hundred-and-sixty-eighth section of “The
Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim and declare that the Crown lands described in the
Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart
and declared open for lease as village settlements.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a
road :
And whereas plans have been prepared, and the Minister
has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation
taking the lands as required by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
“The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date
of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the
lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for
the purpose of the construction of the said road.
