from the Temuka Rifle Volunteers to the Canterbury District Reserve Corps, on resigning his commission in the first-mentioned corps, and with effect from the 27th December, 1899.

Award of the Imperial Volunteer Officers’ Decoration.

Captain WILLIAM HENRY POTTS, Thames Naval Artillery Volunteers,

he having a total commissioned and rank service counting towards the decoration, to the 28th February, 1899, of 20 years 100 days.

Special Order.

THAT the Board do readjust, under subsection (1) of section 2 of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1899,” the following loans: viz., £800, inscribed 1st February, 1887; £656 6s. 10d., inscribed 1st February, 1898; and £67, inscribed 1st February, 1899.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed by the Waiwakaiho Road Board on the 16th day of January, 1900, in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

OTAKI ROAD BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER confirmed by the Otaki Road Board at a Special Meeting held on the 3rd Day of February, 1900.

THAT a special order be made in accordance with section 124 of “The Counties Act, 1886,” to conform with “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1899,” sections 2 to 4, to the following effect: viz., That the Government be asked to reduce the rate of interest on all existing loans obtained under the said Act from 5 per cent. to 3½ per cent. for forty-one years.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing special order was duly made on the above date, as required by “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”
