Trustees for the West Gore Cemetery appointed.

RANFURLY, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the local authority specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

Name of Local Authority. Name of Public Cemetery, and Description of Land.
The Gore Borough Council. WEST GORE. All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, being Sections Nos. 57 and 58, Block XVI., Township of West Gore, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 6 perches and 3 acres 3 roods 38 perches respectively, more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this thirteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the eighth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act Amendment Act, 1888,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that

GEORGE HENRY RUSSELL, Jun.,

being a person holding the office of Postmaster, under “The Post Office Act, 1881,” at Marsden, is authorised to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-thirty-fourth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

to be the person to make up electors’ rolls for the Ridings of Waimana, Omataroa, Opouriao, and Matata, in the County of Whakatane, as constituted under “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Whakatane County Act, 1899”; also to be the Returning Officer to conduct the first elections of members of the Council of the said county, and also to be Clerk of the Whakatane County Council for the purpose of presiding at the first meeting thereof.
