A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1880,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage district known as the Featherston District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follow :—
FEATHERSTON DISTRICT.
All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north generally by a right line running magnetic west from the summit of the Tararua Range to the westernmost corner of Section No. 102, Block IX., Waiohine Survey District; thence by the left bank of the Tauherenikau River to the southern boundary of Section No. 9, Block IV., Wairarapa Survey District; thence by that section, a public road, and Sections Nos. 62, 75, 77, 26, and 25, Block VIII., Wairarapa Survey District, to Te Maire Road: thence towards the east generally by the said Te Maire Road to the southern boundary-line of Section No. 91, Block VIII. aforesaid; thence by the said southern boundary-line, the south-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 93, Block VII., Wairarapa Survey District, and the western boundary-line of Section No. 509, said Block VII., to the Tauherenikau River; thence by that river to the Wairarapa Lake; thence by the eastern shore of the said Wairarapa Lake and the left bank of the Ruamahanga River to Onoke Lake; and thence by the eastern shore of the said Onoke Lake to the sea: thence towards the south and south-east by the sea to Cape Turakirae: and thence towards the west generally by the leading spur and the summit of the Rimutaka Range, and the summit of the Tararua Range, to the place of commencement.
MARTINBOROUGH DISTRICT.
All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north generally by the northern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 91 and 90, Block VIII., Wairarapa Survey District, from Te Maire Road to the westernmost corner of Section No. 20, Block V., Huangarua Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 20 and Section No. 36 of the said Block V. to the Ruamahunga River; thence by the right bank of that river to its confluence with the Huangarua River; thence by the right bank of the said Huangarua River to its confluence with the Whangaehu Stream; thence by the right bank of the said Whangaehu Stream to the south-western corner of Section No. 96, Block X., Hua-
ngarua Survey District; thence by a right line to the confluence of the Pahaoa River with the Kaikaikuri Stream; and thence by the left bank of the said Pahaoa River to the sea: thence towards the south-east generally by the sea to Cape Palliser: thence towards the south-west and south generally by the sea to Onoke Lake: and thence towards the west generally by the eastern side of said Onoke Lake, and the left bank of the Ruamahanga River to the Wairarapa Lake; thence by the eastern side of the said Wairarapa Lake to the Tauherenikau River; thence by that river to Section No. 509, Block VII., Wairarapa Survey District; thence by that section, Section No. 93, said Block VII., and Section No. 91, Block VIII., to Te Maire Road; and thence by the said Te Maire Road to the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration district known as the Featherston District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Featherston and Martinborough Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

New County of Mauriceville divided into Ridings, &c.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Mauriceville County Act, 1899,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby divide the new County of Mauriceville, as constituted by the said Acts, into two ridings, to be called the West Riding and the East Riding, and declare that the boundaries thereof shall be those set forth under the names of the said ridings respectively in the Schedule hereto.
And I do hereby declare that three members shall be elected for each of the said ridings.
And I do further declare that Saturday, the sixteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, shall be the day upon which the election of the first Council
