Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished
Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
lington, this twenty-eighth day of January, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-nine.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter
John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do by this notice hereby proclaim as closed
the roads hereinafter described, that is to say:—

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter
John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, with the consent of the Pohangina County
Council, being the local authority in whose district the said
lands are situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as
roads the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

The parcels of land mentioned in list hereunder:—

section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter
John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners of the lands
hereinafter mentioned, do by this notice hereby proclaim as
a road the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

The parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

burton.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter
John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, with the consent of the Ashburton Borough
Council and the Ashburton Domain Board, being the local
authorities in whose districts the lands are situated, do by
this notice hereby proclaim as roads the lands mentioned in
the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being
part of Reserve No. 308, Town of Ashburton, and being a
strip of land 100 links wide, adjacent to the north-eastern
boundaries of Town Sections Nos. 601, 1093, 1094, 1095, and
1096, extending from the north-eastern corner of the said
Section No. 601, continuing across Park Street, and thence
along the northern boundaries of Town Sections Nos. 1093,
1094, 1095, and 1096 aforesaid, to the north-western corner
of the last-mentioned section.
