PUHOI ROAD DISTRICT, COUNTY OF RODNEY.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Puhoi Road Board, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” to execute certain public works, to wit, the construction of a road in the Puhoi Road District, and for the purpose of such public works the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is further given that copies of the plans of the said road, and of the land so required to be taken, are deposited at the Puhoi Road Board Office, Puhoi, and are there open for inspection. All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Chairman of the Puhoi Road Board, Puhoi.

NOTICE is hereby given that, by special resolution passed at a meeting of shareholders of the Wheelbands Blight Specific Company (Limited), held on the 23rd day of October, 1899, at the office of Friedlander Bros. (Limited), West Street, Ashburton, it was resolved that the said company be wound up voluntarily, and that ROBERT MONCRIEFF CUTHBERTSON be appointed Liquidator.

The full charge for board and education is £40 a year, but less is accepted from parents who cannot afford to pay this amount. In case of necessity admission is free.
