Revoking Portion of a Proclamation.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the one-hundred-and-sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do by this notice hereby revoke that part of a Proclamation dated the twenty-first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 7, dated the thirtieth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, setting apart land for Whangamomona Improved-farm Settlement, in so far as it relates to the land set forth in the Schedule hereto.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Palmerston–Waihemo Branch of the Waitaki–Bluff Railway to take further land near Inch Valley Station, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear to my satisfaction that considerable quantities of fruit infested with various species of scale insects have been and are still imported into New Zealand, to the danger and detriment of the plantations of fruit-trees in this colony: And whereas it is expedient to prohibit the introduction of such fruit to this colony:
