being transferred from the Riverton Rifle Volunteers to the Southland Subdistrict Reserve Corps, with effect from the 28th February, 1899, under paragraphs 94 and 97, Volunteer Regulations, 1895; and also to approve of the Riverton Rifle Volunteers being disbanded as from the 1st March, 1899.

The commission held by the

Rev. MATTHEW WILLIAM BUTTERFIELD

as Honorary Chaplain in the above corps will lapse under paragraph 62, Volunteer Regulations, 1895.
