December, 1896, the Otairi and Ohingaiti boundaries being relatively altered; and, further, that this special order shall come into full force on the 8th day of November, 1899, but shall come into force on the making thereof in so far and to such an extent as may be necessary for preparing any roll, or otherwise providing for the election of Councillors.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 4th day of March, 1899, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 6th day of May, 1899.

No. 38.—An Act to consolidate and amend the Law relating to Mines and Mining.

No. 39.—An Act to make Provision for the Exchange, Sale, Reservation, and other Disposition of certain Crown Lands, Reserves, and Endowments; and for the Investigation and Settlement of certain Matters relating to Native and other Lands and the Titles thereto, and for other Purposes connected therewith.

No. 40.—An Act to amend “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1894.”

No. 41.—An Act to appropriate and apply certain Sums of Money out of the Consolidated Fund, the Public Works Fund, and other Accounts to the Services of the Year ending the Thirty-first Day of March, One thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, and to appropriate the Supplies granted in this Present Session.

Local and Personal.

No. 1.—An Act to vest certain Land in the Wellington Harbour Board, and to authorise the Board to reclaim such Land from the Sea, and to borrow a Sum of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Pounds, and also to provide Powers for effecting certain Exchanges of Land for Street Purposes.

No. 2.—An Act to enable the New Zealand Wesleyan Methodist Church to acquire a Site for a Church in the Village Settlement of Nukuroa, in the School District of Hannaton, County of Waimate.

No. 3.—An Act to enable the Waitemata County Council to convert a Loan.

No. 4.—An Act in further relation to the Borrowing by the Wanganui Hospital Board of the Sum of Five Thousand Pounds.

No. 5.—An Act to provide for the Vesting in the Port Chalmers Mechanics’ Institute of a certain Reserve, being Section numbered Four Hundred and Five on the Public Map of the Town of Port Chalmers.

No. 6.—An Act to define the Leasing-powers of the University of Otago with reference to Lands in the City of Dunedin, and to limit and define its Power of mortgaging or charging its Revenues.

No. 7.—An Act to enable the Wellington Harbour Board and the Corporation of the City of Wellington to exchange certain Lands, and to confer certain Powers upon the Board and the Corporation respectively.

No. 8.—An Act to authorise the Opening of a Public Cemetery within the Town of Onehunga.

No. 9.—An Act to amend “The St. Albans Public Library Transfer Act, 1893.”

No. 10.—An Act to enable the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Onehunga to contract with regard to Water-supply with Bodies outside the Borough.

No. 11.—An Act to change the Purposes for which certain Lands in the Borough of New Plymouth are held by the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses.

No. 12.—An Act to vest in the Johnsonville Town Board Land set aside for the Purposes of a Public School.

No. 13.—An Act to enable the Wellington City Corporation and the Wellington Harbour Board respectively to carry out certain Reclamation and other Works.
