Extending Time for Preparation of Valuation List of Borough of City of Auckland.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighth day of May, 1899.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the valuation list of the Borough of City of Auckland cannot be completed by or within the time mentioned in “The Rating Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers vested in him by the said “Rating Act, 1894,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the time for completing the preparation of such valuation list until the seventeenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine; and doth also extend the time during which such valuation list shall be open for inspection, and during which objections thereto may be made, until the seventeenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.

Extending Time for Preparation of Burgess Roll, Borough of City of Auckland.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighth day of May, 1899.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that certain things required to be done by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” and “The Municipal Franchise Reform Act, 1898,” in connection with the making and revision of the burgess lists or rolls of the Borough of City of Auckland cannot be done by or within the time required by the said Acts:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” and its amendments, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the times for the doing of the several acts and things set forth in the Schedule hereto, and required to be done in connection with the burgess lists or rolls of the said Borough of City of Auckland, and doth hereby declare that the times for the doing of such several acts and things shall be those which are specified in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.

Burgess list to be made out on or before the 11th July, 1899.

Burgess and defaulters’ lists open for inspection, and delivery of objections thereto, until the 25th July, 1899.

Inspection of lists of objections, from the 26th July, 1899, to the 31st July, 1899.

Sitting of Council to determine claims and objections, between 1st August and 5th August, 1899.

Burgess roll to come into force on the 26th August, 1899.

Amending Regulations under “The Stamp Act, 1882.”

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council bearing date the eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, regulations were made under the provisions of “The Stamp Act, 1882,” providing for the payment of certain duties, fees, fines, and penalties by means of stamps: And whereas it is expedient to amend such regulations in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by “The Stamp Act, 1882,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the additional regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby notify and declare that such additional regulation shall form part of the said recited regulations of the eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, and shall take effect on and after the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine.
SCHEDULE.
2B. The stamps for the fees, fines, and penalties payable under “The Mining Act, 1898,” in respect of the several matters or proceedings specified in the first column hereunder written, shall be impressed upon or affixed to the document specified opposite such matters or proceedings in the second column hereunder written, that is to say,—

Auctioneers’ commission on goods sold, not exceeding 5 per cent., where the bailiff acts as auctioneer
Advertising—For three lines of space, not exceeding 3s., and 3d. for every additional line
Executing distress warrant against the goods, if satisfied within two hours of the levy
For every document required in proceedings and not enumerated in the Schedule
For copy of any proceedings, every complete folio of ninety words or part thereof
Cartage of goods seized in execution to auction-room or place of security: reasonable expenses actually paid, to be supported by voucher
Filing any consent or agreement ..
Filing notice of any application for a rehearing
For every search .. ..
For mileage for service of any summons, process, or notice, or execution of any warrant
A document to be provided for the purpose, in the form set out in the Schedule hereto.
