Private Advertisements.

I, WILLIAM LAURENCE SIMPSON, Manager of the Trustees, Executors, and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited), do hereby solemnly and sincerely declare—

  1. That the liability of the company is limited.
  2. That the capital of the company is £50,000, divided into 10,000 shares of £5 each.
  3. That the number of shares issued is 10,000.
  4. That calls to the amount of £1 per share have been made, from which the sum of £10,000 has been received.
  5. That the amount of money received as executor of estates under administration for the six months to the 31st March, 1899, was £13,911 14s. 9d.
  6. That the amount of money paid as executor of estates under administration for the six months to 31st March, 1899, was £13,993 2s. 10d.
  7. That the amount of money held as executor of estates under administration was, at 31st March, 1899, £20 16s.
  8. That the sum remaining in the company’s hands at 31st March, 1899, to the credit of estates for which the company is trustee, which sum is represented by either cash or securities, or both, was £170,729 7s. 8d.
  9. That the company’s liabilities and assets were as follows:—

We have examined the books, vouchers, and accounts of the Trustees, Executors, and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited)—which include the accounts of constituents—for the twelve months ending 31st March, 1899, and certify that in our opinion the above balance-sheet fully and fairly represents the position of the company’s affairs at date of balance; and we have also seen the securities held by the company on behalf of its constituents, and on its own behalf, and found them in order.

“THE RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE ACT, 1896.”

RESULT OF POLL.

I HEREBY notify that at the poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Petone upon the proposal to adopt “The Rating on Unimproved Value Act, 1896,” taken upon the 3rd day of May, 1899, there were recorded :—

In favour of the proposal .. .. 72 votes.
Against the proposal .. .. 5 “
Informal .. .. .. 1 vote.

The number of ratepayers on the roll was 455. As the number of ratepayers recording their votes did not equal one-third of the ratepayers on the roll, I hereby declare the proposal to have been rejected.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between CHARLES FORD, MATILDA JANET HENRY, AND JOHN THOMAS QUIN, under the style of “Henry’s Executors and Quin,” at Pahiatua and at Eltham, as Sawmillers, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from this date.

SCHOOL FOR DEAF-MUTES, SUMNER, NEAR CHRISTCHURCH.

FOR Deaf Children of sound intellect. The pupils are taught to use and understand ordinary speech. The best age for entrance is between six and seven.

The full charge for board and education is £40 a year, but less is accepted from parents who cannot afford to pay this amount. In case of necessity admission is free.
