Powers delegated to the Stratford Domain Board under
"The Public Domains Act, 1881."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifteenth
day of March, 1899.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE J. MCKENZIE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Coun-
cil thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council,
dated the eighth day of December, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-two, making delegation of certain
powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the
like advice and consent, by this present Order, delegate,
but only with respect to the parcels of land described in
the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act
aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections
five and twelve thereof, to
THE STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL,
which shall be known as the Stratford Domain Board
(hereinafter referred to as "the Board"), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,β

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business
on the third Monday in each month, at three o'clock p.m.,
at the Borough Council Chambers, Stratford, or at such
other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by
the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday,
the seventeenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-eight. -
Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and
no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
at such meeting. -
Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
meeting may be adjourned from time to time. -
The Mayor shall be Chairman. He may join in the
discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
his successor. -
If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
time appointed for holding the same, the members present
shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of
such meeting. -
All questions shall be determined by the majority of
votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land in the Taranaki Land District,
containing by admeasurement 83 acres 1 rood 2 perches,
more or less, being Sections Nos. 24 to 33, 36, 37, 38, 67 to
76, 79, 80, 81, 111 to 124, 150 to 163, 470 to 484, 509 to 518,
542 to 551, 574 to 581, 607 to 619, 639 to 651, 781, 858, 935,
and 936, in the Township of Stratford, and Section No. 28,
Block I., in the Ngaire Survey District.

"The Public Domains Act, 1881."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifteenth
day of March, 1899.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE J. MCKENZIE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Public
Domains Act, 1881," it is, inter alia, enacted that
the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time
delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred,
save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons, for
any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be
specified in such Order, and that every such delegation may
from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked:
And whereas, pursuant to "The Public Reserves Act, 1881,"
by an Order in Council of even date herewith, the lands
described in the Schedule thereto, and known as the
Mangaweka Domain, situate in the Wellington Land Dis-
trict, are declared to be brought under the operation of
and to be subject to the provisions of the said "Public
Domains Act, 1881":
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the Colony of New Zealand, doth by this present Order
delegate all the powers conferred by the Act first above
mentioned, except the powers under or conferred by sec-
tions five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons,
who shall be known as the Mangaweka Domain Board,
