NOTICE is hereby given that his Honour John Edward Denniston, a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, has this day appointed JOHN ALFRED DONNISON, of 147, Leadenhall Street, in the City of London, Notary Public, and a Commissioner to administer Oaths in the Supreme Court of Judicature in England, to be a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in England for the purpose of administering and taking oaths, affidavits, and affirmations under section 2 of “The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875.”

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to execute a certain public work—viz., the construction of an outlet drain for the Wainui Main Road—and to take for that purpose the lands described in the accompanying Schedule.
The name of the owner of the land to be taken is George Matthewson, of Gisborne, wine merchant.
A plan of the lands to be taken, and a general description of the works proposed to be executed, has been deposited, and may be inspected, at Mr. W. Cooper’s house, Wainui, and at the office of the Council, Gisborne.
All persons affected by the construction of this drain are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection they may have to the execution of these works or to the taking of the lands, and send such writing to the office of the Cook County Council, Lowe Street, Gisborne, within forty days of this date.

I, CHARLES CARGILL KETTLE, Registrar of the Supreme Court for the District of Wellington, holden at Wanganui, do hereby notify that an affidavit, a copy of which is hereunder given, by Joseph Poulter Leary and Claude Revans, two of the Board of Directors, and Robert Edwards, the Secretary, of “Belk’s Patent Rolling-stock Safety Gear Company (Limited),” has been lodged in the Magistrate’s Court at Palmerston North, and forwarded to me; and that, unless notice of objection be lodged with me within sixty days of this date, I shall proceed to declare the said company to be dissolved in manner provided by “The Companies Act, 1882.”

We, Joseph Poulter Leary and Claude Revans, of Palmerston North, two of the Board of Directors of “The Belk’s Patent Rolling-stock Safety Gear Company (Limited),” and Robert Edwards, of Palmerston North aforesaid, the duly appointed Secretary of “The Belk’s Patent Rolling-stock Safety Gear Company (Limited),” incorporated under “The Companies Act, 1882,” do hereby make oath and say,—That the nominal value of the said company is two thousand pounds, in two thousand shares of one pound each; that the shares have been fully paid up; that the company has no assets, and has ceased to carry on its operations: and we do hereby apply for declaration of dissolution of such company.
