The Schedule above referred to.

Situate near Roxburgh, between saddle near Hercules Flat and Anderson’s Flat.

Land: Commencing at my race known as Hercules No. 1 Race (License No. 9594, 30/1/98), at the saddle near the Hercules Flat, and about a mile and a half from head of said race from Teviot River; thence running in a southerly direction through small portion of W. T. Scrimgeour’s freehold; thence through small grazing run of Mrs. Scrimgeour; then through other portions of W. T. Scrimgeour’s freehold, and terminating at special claim applied for by me, Anderson’s Flat; a mile and a half at lower end being carried in pipes.

By-washes intended to be made at Thomson’s Gully (2), William’s Gully, Cockburn’s Gully (3), Rae’s Gully (2), and Rocky Gully (2).

Particulars of mining privilege:—

(a.) The approximate point of intake, terminal point, and intended course of the race: Intake from my said race (No. 9594, 30/1/98), a mile and a half from head; terminal point, special claim, Anderson’s Flat. Intended course is southerly.

(b.) Its approximate length, and average depth and breadth: Six miles and a half long, 2 ft. 9 in. deep by 5 ft. 6 in. broad.

(c.) The estimated time and cost of its construction: Two years.

(d.) If water is applied for, the number of heads it is proposed to divert, and the watercourse the water is proposed to be diverted from: To carry fifty heads; brought by the said Hercules No. 1 Race.

(e.) The purpose or purposes for which the race is intended to be used: Mining.

The foregoing application was filed in the office of the Mining Registrar at Clyde on Tuesday, the 21st day of February, 1899, at 5 minutes to 1 o’clock in the afternoon.

The foregoing application, and all objections thereto, will be heard by the Warden at the Courthouse, Roxburgh, on Thursday, the 20th day of April, 1899, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon. Any person desirous of objecting must, at least two days before the day so appointed for hearing, enter his objection, and give notice thereof in the prescribed manner.
