THE following special order, made by the Cook County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886.”

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
Copy of a Special Order made by the Cook County Council on the 23rd September, 1898, and confirmed at a Subsequent Meeting held on the 4th November, 1898.

RESOLVED that, in accordance with the prayer of the petition of the ratepayers interested, this Council do now proceed to constitute the Titirangi Road District from parts of the Kaiti Road District.

That the present Kaiti Road District be abolished, and two new districts be constituted therefrom—viz., the Titirangi Road District, as defined in the accompanying schedule, and the Kaiti Road District, as described in the accompanying schedule.

That the number of members for the Titirangi Road District Board be four.

That the number of members for the Kaiti Road District Board be five.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the presence of—

Boundaries of Titirangi Road District.
Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 337, Kaiti Block; thence northerly following the eastern boundary of that section to the centre of Crawford Road; thence south-easterly along centre of that road and Wainui Road to its junction with Wheatstone Road, thence along centre of that road to the southern boundary of Section 283, Kaiti Block; thence westerly and again northerly by the southern and western boundary of Sections 283, 280, Kaiti, to centre of Pouawa Road; thence westerly along the centre of that road to the western boundary of Section 270, Kaiti; thence northerly by the western boundaries of Sections 270, 269, and 268, to the southern boundary of Section 2, Pouawa Block; thence easterly by the northern boundaries of Sections 268, 277, Kaiti, to Kopakiraho Stream; thence south-easterly by that stream and northern boundaries of Sections 277 and 278 to the Hamanatua Stream; thence southerly by that stream to the sea; thence southerly and westerly by the sea to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 337; thence by that line to the point of commencement.

RESOLVED, That the Riccarton Road Board do hereby adopt (generally) the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” within the Riccarton Road District.
