NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolutions were passed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Wakamarina Gorge and Deep Creek Gold-mining Company (Limited), duly convened, and held at Wellington on the 30th day of January, 1899, and confirmed as special resolutions at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the company duly convened for that purpose, and held at Wellington on the 15th day of February, 1899—namely, “That the Wakamarina Gorge and Deep Creek Gold-mining Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily”; “That E. Bucholz, T. P. Coveney, and H. P. Rawson be and they are hereby appointed the Liquidators to conduct the winding-up of the said company, at a remuneration of £15 15s.”—Dated this 20th day of February, 1899.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Council of the Borough of Mornington, on behalf of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the said borough, to take for the purpose of a certain public work, to wit,
the extension of Bath Street, a street in the said borough, all that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement 36 poles, more or less, being parts of allotments numbered respectively 1, Block I., on the map of the Township of Primrose Hill, and Allotment 36, Block III., on the map of the Township of Richmond Hill; bounded towards the north-east by the junction of Clyde and Canning Streets, 50 links; towards the south-east by Allotments numbered 28, 30, 32, 34, and 36, Block I., Township of Richmond Hill; towards the south-west by the junction of Bath and Regent Streets; and towards the north-west by other parts of the said Allotments 1, Block I., Primrose Hill aforesaid, and 36, Block III., Richmond Hill aforesaid. And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the lands required to be taken has been prepared, and a copy thereof deposited at the office of the Town Clerk of the Borough of Mornington, where it is open for inspection in terms of the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894.”
All persons affected by the taking of the said land as aforesaid are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said work or the taking of the said lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the said Council of the Borough of Mornington.

NOTICE is hereby given that the first examination under the above-mentioned Act will be held on Wednesday, the twenty-first (21st) day of June, 1899, and that for the purposes of such examination the Board has decided to adhere to the British Pharmacopoeia, 1885, with additions; and for the information of persons intending to take advantage of the proviso to section 30 of the Act, notice is hereby further given that candidates (without apprenticeship) must pass in all subjects.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership for some time past existing between the undersigned in the business of Blacksmiths, carried on at Waimate, under the name of “Wills Brothers,” has been dissolved as from the date hereof by mutual consent.
The undersigned William John Wills is authorised to collect all outstanding debts owing to the partnership, and will discharge all outstanding liabilities.

I, CHARLES CARGILL KETTLE, Registrar of the Supreme Court for the District of Wellington, holden at Wanganui, do hereby notify that an affidavit, a copy of which is hereunder given, by Joseph Poulter Leary and Claude Revans, two of the Board of Directors, and Robert Edwards, the Secretary, of “Belk’s Patent Rolling-stock Safety Gear Company (Limited),” has been lodged in the Magistrate’s Court at Palmerston North, and forwarded to me; and that, unless notice of objection be lodged with me within sixty days of this date, I shall proceed to declare the said company to be dissolved in manner provided by “The Companies Act, 1882.”
