FOURTH SCHEDULE.

SUBSOIL TAKEN.

A. So much of the subsoil under the parcel of land specified in paragraph B of this Schedule, as is described in paragraph C of this Schedule.

B. The said parcel of land is part of Subdivisions Nos. 5 and 6 of Hospital Reserve, in the City of Wellington, and contains by admeasurement 18·1 perches, more or less, and is bounded as follows: Commencing at its most easterly point on the west side of Clifton Terrace; thence bounded on the east by Clifton Terrace, 37·6 links; thence on the south by a line, 321·9 links; thence on the west by a footpath, 120 links; and thence bounded on the north by a line, 292 links, to Clifton Terrace; thence on the east by Clifton Terrace, 5·06 links, to the commencing-point: as the said parcel of land is more particularly set forth on Sheet No. 2 of the plan marked P.W.D. 18762, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

C. The said subsoil is contained in a solid figure, rectangular in cross-section, having a vertical height of 25 ft. and a horizontal width of 25 ft., and lying between parallel planes such that any straight line in either of the lower or upper planes drawn at right angles to the centre line of the tramway shall be horizontal. At the most easterly end of the said solid figure the said lower plane is 151 ft. and the said upper plane is 176 ft. above the level of the Wellington City datum; and at the most westerly end of the said solid figure the said lower plane is 197 ft. and the said upper plane is 222 ft. above the level of the said Wellington City datum: as the said levels are shown on Sheet No. 1 of the said plan marked P.W.D. 18762, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington.

FIFTH SCHEDULE.

SUBSOIL TAKEN.

A. So much of the subsoil under the parcel of land specified in paragraph B of this Schedule, as is described is paragraph C of this Schedule.

B. The said parcel of land is part of Subdivisions Nos. 5 and 6 of Hospital Reserve, in the City of Wellington, and contains by admeasurement 8·4 perches, more or less, and is bounded as follows: Commencing at its most northerly point, and thence bounded generally on the east by one side of a footpath, 120 links; thence on the south by a line, 102·3 links; thence on the west by a line, 37·9 links; thence on the north by a line, 150 links, to the commencing-point: as the said parcel of land is more particularly set forth on Sheet No. 2 of the plan marked P.W.D. 18762, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

C. The said subsoil is contained in a solid figure, rectangular in cross-section, having a vertical height of 25 ft. and a horizontal width of 25 ft., and lying between parallel planes such that any straight line in either of the lower or upper planes drawn at right angles to the centre line of the tram-way shall be horizontal. At the most easterly end of the said solid figure the said lower plane is 187 ft. and the said upper plane is 212 ft. above the level of the Wellington City datum; and at the most westerly end of the said solid figure the said lower plane is 209 ft. and the said upper plane is 234 ft. above the level of the said Wellington City datum: as the said levels are shown on Sheet No. 1 of the said plan marked P.W.D. 18762, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington.

SIXTH SCHEDULE.

SUBSOIL TAKEN.

A. So much of the subsoil under the parcel of land specified in paragraph B of this Schedule, as is described in paragraph C of this Schedule.

The said parcel of land is part of Subdivision No. 3 of Hospital Reserve, in the City of Wellington, and contains by admeasurement 21·6 perches, more or less, and is bounded as follows: Commencing at its most easterly point, and thence bounded on the east by lines, 19·75 and 19·16 links; thence on the south by a line, 326·14 links, to Kelburne Park; thence on the west by Kelburne Park, 64·04 links;

thence on the north by a line, 386·14 links, to the commencing-point: as the said parcel of land is more particularly set forth on Sheet No. 2 of the plan marked P.W.D. 18762, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

C. The said subsoil is contained in a solid figure, rectangular in cross-section, having a vertical height of 25 ft. and a horizontal width of 25 ft., and lying between parallel planes such that any straight line in either of the lower or upper planes drawn at right angles to the centre line of the tramway shall be horizontal. At the most easterly end of the said solid figure the said lower plane is 236 ft. and the said upper plane is 261 ft. above the level of the Wellington City datum; and at the most westerly end of the said solid figure the said lower plane is 288 ft. and the said upper plane is 313 ft. above the level of the said Wellington City datum: as the said levels are shown on Sheet No. 1 of the said plan marked P.W.D. 18762, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of December, 1899.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him under “The Land-tax and Income-tax Act, 1899,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and determine that the respective duties leviable under the said Act by way of income-tax shall be paid in one sum on Monday, the twenty-ninth day of January, one thousand nine hundred.

And in further pursuance and exercise of the power and authority aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, His Excellency doth also determine that the place where the said duties of income-tax shall be payable shall be the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, at the Government Buildings, Wellington, and that notice to the foregoing effect shall be given by the said Commissioner accordingly.

Animals Protection Acts.—Declaring Reserve for Native and Imported Game, Lakes Waihola and Waipori, Bruce County.

RANFURLY, Governor.

PURSUANT to the powers conferred upon him by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand doth hereby notify that native and imported game shall not be taken or killed within that portion of the County of Bruce, in the Otago Land District, more particularly described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Otago Land District, containing about 12,300 acres, bounded towards the north-west generally by the road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 5 and 6, Block IX., Waihola Survey District, and Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block X., and Section No. 1, Block XII.; thence by the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 1, 2 of 2, and 3, said Block XII., Waihola Survey District, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 1, Block VIII., Clarendon Survey District; thence by a right line to and by that section to its north-eastern corner; thence by the road
