NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of section 92 of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, in August, 1899, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by a warrant dated the 17th June, 1898.

IN exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon me by “The Shops and Shop-assistants Act Amendment Act, 1895,” and in accordance with a requisition signed by a three-fifths majority of the shopkeepers in the Borough of Riverton, I, Thomas Thompson, Minister of Justice, acting for and on behalf of the Minister of Labour, hereby intimate that on and after the 2nd day of December, 1899, all the shops in the said Borough of Riverton shall be closed on the evening of Saturday in each week at the hour of 10 of the clock.
