STATEMENT OF THE AFFAIRS OF A COMPANY.

Name of company: Hauraki South Gold-mining Company (Limited), (being a foreign company as defined by section 2 of “The Mining Companies Acts Amendment Act, 1897”).

When formed, and date of registration of office of company in colony: Formed, 11th June, 1896; registered in colony, 20th November, 1896.

Whether in active operation or not: Under absolute protection.

Where business is conducted, and name of Attorney or Attorneys: New Zealand Insurance Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland; David A. Bowick.

Where mine is situate: Coromandel, Hauraki Mining District.

Nominal capital: £90,000.

Amount of capital subscribed: £71,577.

Amount of capital actually paid up in cash in colony: Nil.

Price paid to vendors of mine—

Amount of overdraft at banker’s in colony: £4 11s. 6d.

Amount of cash in hand in colony: Nil.

Amount of liabilities of company (if any) in colony: £207 5s. 8d.

I, David A. Bowick, of Coromandel, the Attorney of the Hauraki South Gold-mining Company (Limited), do solemnly and sincerely declare that this is a true and complete statement of the affairs of the said company as on the 11th day of September, 1898, being the date of the last balance-sheet; and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the situation and locality of the Office or place of business of the said company in the Colony of New Zealand is the offices of Messrs. Park and Murdoch, Solicitors, of Hamilton Street, in Hokitika, Westland, New Zealand.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hauraki Development Syndicate (Limited) will, after the expiration of three months from the date hereof, cease to carry on business in the Colony of New Zealand.

Land Transfer Act Notices.

WHEREAS JAMES SANDERS, of Woodville, Labourer, is the registered proprietor of a leasehold interest in Section 29, Block IV., Woodville Survey District, containing 5 acres, by virtue of a lease in perpetuity under “The Land Act, 1892,” registered in my office as No. 1407, Vol. 2L, folio 171, of the Register-book: And whereas the OFFICIAL ASSIGNEE IN BANKRUPTCY of the property of the above-named James Sanders has applied to me to register a transmission to him of the estate or interest of the said James Sanders, and also a transfer from himself to one ALFRED ROSENBERG of the same estate or interest, without the production of the outstanding lease or certificate of title, and it appears to me that the said Official Assignee is entitled to have such dealings registered, and that reasonable cause has been shown for the non-production of such outstanding lease or certificate: I hereby give notice that I will register such dealings, dispensing with the production of such outstanding lease or certificate, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 5th day of January, 1899.

APPLICATION having been made to me to issue a provisional certificate of title in the names of JOHN DAVIDSON and the late MATTHEW DAVIDSON, both of Kumara, Blacksmiths, for Sections 264 and 117, Kumara, the title to said sections being registered in Vol. vii., folio 268, and evidence having been lodged with me showing the loss of the original certificate of title, I hereby give notice that I will issue such provisional certificate as requested at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.
