INQUIRY, under Section 38 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” as to whether Charging Orders for Survey Costs, the Amounts of which are set out in Schedule below, should not be cancelled, on the Ground that they were made prior to the Investigation of the Titles to the Blocks affected.

"The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND:

AUCKLAND DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894”; and in the matter of the Pohokura Blocks numbered 4A, 4B, 5, 6A, 6B, 6C, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

At a sitting of the Court held at Hastings this 29th day of October, 1898, before William Gilbert Mair, Esquire, a Judge of the said Court, and Wi Naera, Assessor, under the provisions of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

Whereas, at a sitting of the Court held at Hastings on the 24th day of September, 1898, an order was made by the Court constituting the owners of the above-mentioned Pohokura Blocks a body corporate, with a perpetual succession and a common seal, by the name, “The Proprietors of the Pokohura Blocks numbered 4A, 4B, 5, 6A, 6B, 6C, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12”; and it was further ordered that a general meeting of proprietors be held at Tarawera on the 26th day of October, 1898, for the purpose of electing a committee:

And whereas the following list of persons nominated as a committee at such meeting as aforesaid has been prepared and lodged with the Court by the chairman of such meeting—Te Wana Tangakore, Tare Tokei, Ngahere te Pohe, Apiata Tanirau, Parakire Hapimana, Pereri Huriwana, and Kipa te Kowhatu: And whereas application has been made to the Court for an order appointing the aforesaid persons as a committee of the said corporation:

It is hereby ordered that the said Te Wana Tangakore, Tare Tokei, Ngahere te Pohe, Apiata Tanirau, Parakire Hapimana, Pereri Huriwana, and Kipa te Kowhatu be the committee of the corporation of proprietors of the said Pohokura Blocks.

"The Native Land Court Act, 1894."—Notice under Rule 133.

Registrar’s Office, Wellington, 7th December, 1898.

Notice is hereby given that applications have been made to a Judge of the Court for certificates under section 55 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” confirming the alienations hereunder specified. All objections to the granting of such certificates must be lodged with me within fourteen days from the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

It is hereby notified that, the leases of the under-mentioned Crown lands having been forfeited by resolutions of the Canterbury Land Board, the said lands have reverted to the Crown under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Pastoral Run, Marlborough Land District, for Sale by Public Auction.
