Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 24 perches, more or less, being Lots 8 and 9 on deposited Plan No. 477, being also part of Rural Section 48, Borough of Linwood, in the Provincial District of Canterbury, having a frontage to Brotherstone Road of 100 links by a depth of 150 links. The last registered owner is Jakob Schellenburg, described as of Christchurch, blacksmith, who cannot be traced.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:

Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 6 perches, more or less, being part of Section 274, situate in the Town of Reefton, in the Provincial District of Nelson, having a frontage to Kelly Street of 75 links by a depth along a right-of-way of 50 links. The last registered owner is Dougal Masson, described as of Reefton, baker, who cannot be traced. This land is or was occupied by Mr. John Love.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:

Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 50 acres, more or less, being Allotment 134, Parish of Horotiu, in the Provincial District of Auckland. The land was Crown-granted to William Saunders, a private in the 4th Waikato Militia, of whom nothing can be traced, and it adjoins land owned by Mr. Robert Fleming, of Ngaruawahia, farmer.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:

Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 2 roods, more or less, being Lots 343 and 344 on deposited Plan No. 25, and part of Rural Section 2898, at Temuka, in the Provincial District of Canterbury, having a frontage to Birkett Street of 200 links by a depth of 250 links; the last registered owner is Alexander Bond, described as of Orari, labourer, who cannot be traced. Also, to the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 345 on deposited Plan No. 25, and

part of Rural Section 2898, at Temuka, having a frontage to Birkett Street of 100 links by a depth of 250 links; the last registered owner is Thomas Dawson, described as of Wallingford, road contractor, who cannot be traced.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owners of either of the above-described lands are, and believes that such owners respectively are not in the colony:

Now, this notice calls upon such owners respectively, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee their titles respectively to the lands respectively specified in this notice; and, if such owners do not, within the time limited, so establish their or either of their titles, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” in respect of both of the said parcels of land, or such one of them as to which the owner shall not appear.

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 59 acres, more or less, being south-eastern portion of Allotment 61, and north-western portion of Allotment 62, Parish of Tauraroa, in the Provincial District of Auckland; the land was Crown-granted to Robert Dunn, described as of Little Muddy Creek, near Auckland, labourer, who cannot be traced. Also, to the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 59 acres, more or less, being the south-eastern portion of Allotment 62, Parish of Tauraroa, in the Provincial District of Auckland; the last registered owner is James McPartlin, described as of Thames, labourer, who cannot be traced. These parcels of land adjoin each other, and are bounded towards the south-east by the Parish of Waikiekie.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owners of either of the above-described lands are, and believes that such owners respectively are not in the colony:

Now, this notice calls upon such owners respectively, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee their titles respectively to the lands respectively specified in this notice; and, if such owners do not, within the time limited, so establish their or either of their titles, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894,” in respect of both of the said parcels of land, or such one of them as to which the owner shall not appear.

To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 1 rood 28·3 poles, more or less, being Allotment 3 on plan of subdivision of the Oaklands Estate, and part of Sections 4 and 235x, Block I., Anderson’s Bay District, in the Provincial District of Otago. The last registered owner is William Henry Brewer, described as of Dunedin, engineer, who cannot be traced. The land is in the occupation of Mr. Frederick Snowden, the owner of adjoining land.

WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:

Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and, if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
