Notice of Intention to take Land in Taieri County for the Berwick-Waipori Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the provisions of “The Public Works, Act, 1894,” for a certain public work, to wit, the construction of the Berwick-Waipori Road, Taieri County: And notice is further given that the plan of the said land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office, Berwick, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth such objection in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.

Notice by the Public Trustee under “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
To the owner or owners of a parcel of land, containing 62 acres, more or less, being Section 31, Parish of Pakiri, in the Provincial District of Auckland. The land was Crown-granted to George William Friend, described as of Auckland, clothier, who never lifted his title and who cannot be traced. The land is in the occupation of Mr. James Greenwood.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby ascertained who the owner or owners of the above-described land is or are, and believes that such owner is, or owners are, not in the colony:
Now, this notice calls upon such owner or owners, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his or their title to the land specified in this notice; and if such owner does or owners do not, within the time limited, so establish his or their title, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by “The Unclaimed Lands Act, 1894.”
