SCHEDULE.

  1. For preparing the rolls for ridings within the County of Amuri: Until the 22nd June, 1898.

  2. Time for which such rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 27th June, 1898, to the 15th July, 1898.

  3. Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 31st July, 1898.

  4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 15th August, 1898.

  5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 16th August, 1898.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor by the Native owners of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such lands contained in orders of the Native Land Court bearing date the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has recommended that such restrictions be removed:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the fifty-second section of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and in accordance with the recommendation of the Native Land Court, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Native Land Court orders on the alienation of the said lands are hereby removed.


SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land, containing 56 acres 3 roods 13 perches, situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, known as Subdivision No. 1 of Section No. 9, Porirua (Belmont Survey District), held under order of the Native Land Court dated 28th February, 1888, in favour of Henare Piti and others, and containing the following restriction: “Inalienable.”

All that parcel of land, containing 13 acres 2 roods 23 perches, situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, known as Subdivision No. 2 of Section No. 9, Porirua (Belmont Survey District), held under an order of the Native Land Court dated 28th February, 1888, in favour of Hare Parata and others, and containing the following restriction: “Inalienable.”

All that parcel of land, containing 28 acres and 16 perches, situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, known as Subdivision No. 3 of Section No. 9, Porirua (Belmont Survey District), held under order of the Native Land Court dated 28th February, 1888, in favour of Enoka Hohepa and others, and containing the following restriction: “Inalienable.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.

Chairman of Board of Conciliation for the Northern Industrial District appointed.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS on the sixteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, the Reverend George Burgess resigned his office as Chairman of the Board of Conciliation of the Northern Industrial District: And whereas the members of the said Board have elected a Chairman in his stead, in terms of “The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1894”:

Now, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the aforesaid Act, do hereby notify that

The Reverend ARCHIBALD HENRY COLLINS, of Ponsonby, Baptist Minister,

has been duly elected Chairman of the said Board of Conciliation in and for the Northern Industrial District, vice the Reverend George Burgess, resigned.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of Auckland and Wellington.

RANFURLY, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Land Districts of Auckland and Wellington enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule, and opposite the descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
