Amending Order in Council altering the Boundaries of the Wellington, Auckland, and Hawke’s Bay Deeds Registration Districts.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of May, 1898.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE J. CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, purporting to be made in exercise of the powers under section four of “The Deeds Registration Act, 1868,” the boundaries of the Auckland, Wellington, and Hawke’s Bay Deeds Registration Districts were altered and redefined: And whereas by the said Order in Council portions of the Poverty Bay Deeds Registration District were in error included in the limits of the Auckland and Hawke’s Bay Districts respectively, and it is necessary that the definitions of the boundaries of the said last-mentioned districts should be amended by the exclusion therefrom of the areas wrongfully included as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, I, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in further exercise of the powers aforesaid, and of all powers enabling me in that behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order that the boundaries of the Auckland, Wellington, and Hawke’s Bay Deeds Registration Districts respectively shall be those set forth in the Schedule to the said Order in Council of the twenty-first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, excepting thereout so much of the areas included therein respectively as are within the area of the Poverty Bay Deeds Registration District, as defined by “The Poverty Bay Land and Deeds Registration Districts Act, 1896.”

Modifying License for Occupation of Foreshore of Manukau Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of May, 1898.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE J. CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the fifteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 13, of the twenty-fourth day of the same month, the Northern Steamship Company (Limited) was licensed to occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark in Manukau Harbour for the purpose of erecting thereon a slip and dolphins, subject to the conditions contained in such Order in Council:

And whereas it is desirable to revoke clause two of such conditions, and to make another condition in lieu thereof:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Harbours Act Amendment Act, 1883,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke clause 2 of the conditions of the said Order in Council of the fifteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, and doth hereby make the following condition in lieu thereof:—

  1. The concessions and privileges conferred by this Order in Council shall extend and apply only to the part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark necessary for the construction of the slip and dolphins in Manukau Harbour, in accordance with plans marked M.D. 2175, on the site shown on plan marked M.D. 2189.

Extending Time for Preparation of Burgess Roll, Borough of Onslow.

RANFURLY, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this sixth day of June, 1898.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE A. J. CADMAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that certain things required to be done by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” in connection with the making and revision of the burgess lists or rolls of the Borough of Onslow cannot be done by or within the time required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the time for the doing of the said things in connection with the burgess lists or rolls of the said Borough of Onslow, and doth declare that the times for the doing of such several things shall be those which are specified in the Schedule hereunder.


SCHEDULE.

  1. Burgess list to be made out on or before the 6th June, 1898.

  2. Burgess and defaulters’ list open for inspection, and delivery of objections thereto, until the 16th June, 1898.

  3. Inspection of lists of objections, from the 17th June, 1898, to the 25th June, 1898.

  4. Sitting of Council to determine claims and objections, on the 28th June, 1898.

  5. Burgess roll to come into force on the 29th June, 1898.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this sixth day of June, 1898.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE A. J. CADMAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that certain things required to be done by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” in connection with the making and revision of the burgess lists or rolls of the Borough of Palmerston North cannot be done by or within the time required by the said Act:

  4. Sitting of Council to determine claims and objections, between the 23rd June and 30th August, 1898.

  5. Burgess roll to come into force on the 1st September, 1898.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, County of Amuri.

RANFURLY, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this sixth day of June, 1898.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE A. J. CADMAN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that owing to unavoidable circumstances the preparation of the rolls for the County of Amuri, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.
