EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. cix., folio 108, comprising Rural Section 13944, Oxford Survey District, whereof WILLIAM JOHN JONES, of Oxford, is the registered proprietor, and of the outstanding duplicate of memorandum of mortgage No. 19377, charging the said land in favour of Enoch Cole, and application having been made to me to issue a provisional certificate of title and to register a dealing affecting the said mortgage, I hereby give notice that I intend to issue such provisional certificate and to register such dealing, dispensing with the production of the said duplicate mortgage, at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments, and of J. Bycroft and Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 21st day of May, 1898, presented to Mr. Justice Conolly, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by Joseph James Craig, of Beach Road and Fort Street, in the City of Auckland, Coal Merchant and Carrier, a creditor of the said company.

And the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 24th day of June, 1898; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that, at a meeting of the members of the above company, held on Thursday, the 19th day of May, 1898, an extraordinary resolution was passed, confirming a resolution passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the company held on the 28th day of April, 1898, such resolution being as follows: “That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.” And notice is also given that DAVID JOSEPH NATHAN, SAMUEL BROWN, and F. W. MADDOX have been appointed by the company as Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.
