RESOLVED, That the special order proposed by this Board on the 5th March, 1898, striking a special rate of 2¾d. in the pound on the properties interested in the loan of £800 for metalling Pukohai Road, be now confirmed.
The foregoing special order was duly passed at the ordinary meeting of the Eketahuna Road Board held on the 5th day of March, 1898, and duly confirmed at a meeting of the said Board held on the 7th day of May, 1898.

PURSUANT to section 16 of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” the Colonial Treasurer hereby gives notice that on Wednesday, the 1st June, 1898, he will be prepared to consider applications from local authorities for loans under the Act.
Applications should be addressed to the Colonial Treasurer, and must be posted so as to arrive at the Treasury on or before the 31st May, 1898.
