Flat land. About 50 acres open, wet, peaty ground; balance abandoned sawmill workings with small pines and manuka. Sandy clay soil. Accessible by river, four miles from formed road, and twelve miles from Mokotua Railway-station. Height above sea-level, 10 ft. to 20 ft.
Contains 60 acres flat land, and is covered with light bush with heavy undergrowth; soil rocky formation, generally inferior, well watered. Burdened with £60 valuation for improvements, consisting of house and outbuildings, £36; clearing and grass, £24. Distance from Waikawa Township, six miles.
Soil very peaty and well watered, generally inferior; land covered in parts with stunted manuka scrub. Bounded towards the north by Titipua Stream. Distance from Woodlands, ten miles.
As witness the hand of Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, for and on behalf of His Excellency the Governor, and as his duly appointed Deputy, this eleventh day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the eighth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act Amendment Act, 1888,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that

being a person holding the office of Postmaster, under “The Post Office Act, 1881,” at Niagara, is authorised to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-thirty-fourth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”
