NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company, held at No. 3, Mercantile Chambers, Auckland, on the 4th day of April, 1898, the following resolutions were unanimously passed; and, at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting, held at the same place, on the 19th day of April, 1898, the said resolutions were confirmed, viz.:—

That the Woodstock North Gold-mining Company (Limited) be wound up, and wound up voluntarily.

That Mr. Joseph Barber and Mr. William Kayll be the liquidators.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.

Otago Mining District,

To the Warden at Lawrence. 23rd April, 1898.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the east bank of Bungtown Creek, about half a mile below McCormick’s fence on the southern boundary of Section 3, Block VIII., Tuapeka East District; thence through Sections 5, 6, 7, and 8, Block VII., of said district; thence across the said creek by a pipe-line; thence through Sections 30 and 32, Block VI., 4, Block VII., and 19, Block VI., in said district, and terminating at prospecting area on German Flat granted to Alexander Sutherland.

The length of such race is four miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-westerly.

The mean depth of such race is 1 ft. 8 in., and the mean breadth is 3 ft. 6 in.; and it is proposed to divert fifteen Government heads of water.

Cost of construction: £600.

Time required for construction: Six months.

Numbers and dates of miners’ rights: 19399, dated 1/11/97; 29356, dated 3/12/97; 29367, dated 21/4/98; 29368, dated 21/4/98; 29369, dated 21/4/98; 33482, dated 21/3/98.
