A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto are State forests under the control of the Commissioner of State Forests appointed under “The New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and the said lands are now no longer required for State-forest purposes: And whereas plans showing the extent and position of the said lands, and a statement of the reasons why they are no longer required for State-forest purposes, have been laid before both Houses of Parliament for a period of thirty days, and no resolution has been passed by either of such Houses objecting to the issue of this Proclamation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred by “The New Zealand State Forests Act Amendment Act, 1888,” and of all other powers in any wise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke the Warrants and Proclamation specified in the second column of the Schedule hereto, so far as they relate to the lands described in the first column of the Schedule hereto, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette; and doth hereby proclaim and declare that from and after such date the parcels of land described in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be no longer subject to the provisions of the said Act.

| HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT. |
All that parcel of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 103 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block V., Ruataniwha Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 12; towards the south-east by public-road lines; and towards the north-west by public-road lines: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, at Napier. | Warrant dated the 22nd January, 1890, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 5, of the 30th January, 1890. |
| MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Marlborough Land District, situated in Block IX., Wakamarina Survey District, being Sections Nos. 2, 4, and part of 70, containing 165 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 6 and 7, 4800 links; towards the east by Crown lands, 4600 links; towards the south by Section No. 69, 3700 links; and towards the west partly by Messrs. Brownlee’s tramway, and partly by a public road.
Also all that area, containing 31 acres, more or less, being part of Section No. 67, Block IX., Wakamarina Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 69, 1300 links; towards the east partly by Messrs. Brownlee’s tramway and partly by Section No. 68, 2350 links; towards the south by Section No. 66, 500 links; and towards the west by other part of Section No. 67. | Warrant dated the 7th September, 1886, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 47, of the 9th September, 1886. |

All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing 319 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 819, Hokonui Survey District. Bounded towards the south-west by Crown lands, 7088·2 links; towards the north-west by Section No. 423 of same district, 9500 links; towards the north generally by Crown lands and a road-line, 2419 links, 652·5 links, 441 links, 320·5 links, 210·4 links, and 354·6 links respectively; towards the east by Sections Nos. 754 and 757 of same district, 2944·9 links; and towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 765, 764, 763, 768, and 769 of the same district and a road-line, 5833·6 links. | Proclamation dated the 24th February, 1886, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 11, of the 4th March, 1886. |
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly; Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight.
