NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-
RACE.

Otago Mining District, 27th October, 1897.

To the Warden at Lawrence.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a
water-race to divert and use water for the purpose
of driving a chaff-cutter and other machinery, commencing
at a point in Auguilla Creek, in Section 5, Block XIII.,
Crookston District, about 8 chains north-east from my
dwellinghouse, and terminating at my chaff-house in Sec-
tion 4, Block XIII., Crookston.

The length of such race is 500 yards or thereabouts, and
its intended course is westerly, passing through my freehold
Sections 4 and 5, Block XIII., Crookston District. Pegs
marked W.

The mean depth of such race is 1 ft. 6 in., and the
mean breadth 2ft.; and it is proposed to divert four Go-
vernment heads of water.

Cost of construction: Already constructed.

Number and date of miner's right: No. 27987; 26th
October, 1897.
