Land taken for the Dunedin and Kaikorai Tramway.

RANFURLY, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Council of the body corporate called
the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the
Borough of Roslyn (being the "local authority" of the
said borough) has made application, under the provisions
of section six of "The Tramways Act, 1894," and "The
Public Works Act, 1894," to take the land described in
the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a public work,
namely, the Dunedin and Kaikorai Tramway, authorised to
be constructed by an Order in Council, made and issued
under the first-mentioned Act, and dated the third day
of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven :
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the issue of this Pro-
clamation have been observed and performed, and it is
desirable that the said land so applied for as aforesaid shall
be taken for the purposes hereinbefore mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public
Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that, from and after the date of the publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the several parcels of
land specified in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same
are hereby taken for the purpose of constructing thereon
the said Dunedin and Kaikorai Tramway, and that from
and after the said date the fee-simple of the land hereby
taken shall vest in the said body corporate, for the public
use aforesaid, as in "The Public Works Act, 1894," is par-
ticularly mentioned.

more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
18080, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public
Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Welling-
ton, and thereon coloured red and purple.

Honourable Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly;
Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished
Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of
the said Colony, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this fifteenth day of November, in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and ninety-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the one hundred and seventy-second
section of "The Land Act, 1892," and of every other power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Uchter John
Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land mentioned in
the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of
sections one hundred and seventy-two to one hundred and
eighty-six of Part V. of "The Land Act, 1892," relating to
small grazing-runs.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1894," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a
road in Jacob's River Hundred :
And whereas the Wallace County Council has laid before
the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, required
by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in
me by "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the
date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette,
the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for the purposes of a road.
