Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and
no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
at such meeting. -
Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
meeting may be adjourned from time to time. -
The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the fourth
Saturday in January in every succeeding year thereafter,
elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the
discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
his successor. -
If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
time appointed for holding the same, the members present
shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of
such meeting. -
If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise,
the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the mem-
bers may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a
Chairman. -
All questions shall be determined by the majority of
votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District,
containing by admeasurement 200 acres, more or less, being
Reserve No. 1562, Ellesmere Survey District. Also all that
parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 62 acres 2 roods, more or less, being
Reserve No. 1649, Block XIII., Pigeon Bay Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day
of November, 1897.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council,
dated the twelfth day of September, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-three, making delegation of certain
powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with
the like advice and consent, by this present Order, delegate,
but only with respect to the piece or parcel of land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred
by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred
by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned
persons, who shall be known as the Waihoro Park Domain
Board, namely,—
WILLIAM BIRDLING,
HUGH DEANS BUCHANAN,
ROBERT A. FORBES,
JOSEPH HODGSON PARKINSON, and
JOHN CAMPBELL CRYER GEBBIE
(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the stipula-
tions hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business

at Lincoln, or at such other time or place as may from
time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting
shall be held on Thursday, the twenty-fifth day of Novem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven. -

All that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District,
containing by admeasurement 200 acres, more or less, being
Reserve No. 2585, Block XIV., on the map of the Halswell
Survey District; commencing at the westernmost corner of
Section No. 2443; thence south-easterly along the south-
western boundary of the said Section No. 2443, 1689 links;
thence north-easterly at a right angle, 1411·5 links; thence
south-easterly, following a road-line along the Little River
Railway Reserve, 2922·7 links; thence south-westerly on a
bearing of 217° 44' 30", 5124·2 links; thence north-westerly
at a right angle, 4545·8 links; thence north-easterly at a
right angle, 3402·4 links, to the commencing-point: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the map of the Chief Surveyor,
deposited in the Survey Office, Christchurch.

"The Public Domains Act, 1881."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day
of November, 1897.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Public
Domains Act, 1881," it is, inter alia, enacted that
the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time
delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred,
save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons, for
any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be
specified in such Order, and that every such delegation may
from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked:
And whereas, pursuant to "The Public Reserves Act, 1881,"
by an Order in Council of even date herewith, the land
described in the Schedule thereto, situate in the Town of
Cromwell, and being Section No. 1, Block LXXXIX., on the
map of the said town, is declared to be brought under the
operation of and to be subject to the provisions of the said
"Public Domains Act, 1881":
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
Colony of New Zealand, doth by this present Order delegate
all the powers conferred by the Act first above mentioned,
except the powers under or conferred by sections five and
twelve thereof, to
THE CROMWELL BOROUGH COUNCIL,
which shall be known as the Record Reign Domain Board
(hereinafter referred to as "the Board"), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business
once in each month, at the Borough Council Office, Crom-
well, or at such other time or place as may from time to
time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be
held on Thursday, the twenty-fifth day of November, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven. -
Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and
no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
at such meeting. -
Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any

The Mayor shall be the Chairman of the Board. He
may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as
well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office
until the election of his successor. -
If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the

shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of
such meeting. -
All questions shall be determined by the majority of
votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
