NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-
RACE.
Hauraki District, Coromandel, 9th September, 1897.
To the Warden at Coromandel.
THE Blagrove's Gold-mining Company (Limited) hereby
gives notice that it intends to construct a water-race
to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing
at a point marked with a peg (A) at the Driving Creek
School Bridge, on the Whangarahi Stream, and terminating
at a point marked with a similar peg on the Kathleen Crown
Company's property, below McDonald's, on the said creek.
The length of such race is 40 chains or thereabouts, and
its intended course is north and south, as per plan to be
filed in Court.
This water-race is to be used more especially in connection
with the applicant company's mine at Coromandel.
The mean depth of such race is 2ft., and the mean
breadth is 3 ft., and it is proposed to divert five Government
heads of water.
Cost of construction: £500.
Time required for construction: Twelve months.
Number and date of miner's right: 6196; 2nd June,
1897.
