Native Land proposed to be taken for a Road in the Tauranga County.
RANFURLY, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of September, 1897.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work, to wit, the construction of a road through Native Reserve Rangiuru 2b, Block II., Maketu Survey District:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners under a title which is not derived from the Crown:
And whereas a map in duplicate has been prepared of the said land by the Tauranga County Council, as required by the eighty-eighth section of “The Public Works Act, 1894”:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the eighty-eighth section of the said Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the land shown upon such map, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be taken for the purpose of the said road, and the said land shall vest in Her Majesty the Queen as from the first day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act, 1877,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby incorporate the members of the Hukerenui Agricultural Association, and such persons as shall hereafter be admitted members of the said association agreeably to the rules of the said association and the provisions of the said Act, into a body corporate under the said Act, under the style and title of “The Hukerenui Agricultural Association.”

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one hundred and eighty-ninth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” I, Uchter John Mark, Earl of Ranfurly, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Commissioners to classify and report to me upon the rural lands in the Auckland Land District known as the Rotomahana Parekarangi No. 6A Section 1, Paeroa South A No. 1, Paeroa South B No. 1, and Paeroa South C No. 1 Blocks, situate in Blocks XIV. and XV., Horohoro Survey District; I., II., III., IV., V., VI., VII., VIII., X., and XI., Ngongotaha Survey District; V., IX., and XIII., Paeroa Survey District; III. and IV., Tatua Survey District; and I., Takapau Survey District; and containing by admeasurement 57,075 acres, more or less: as provided by section one hundred and eighty-nine of “The Land Act, 1892,” aforesaid.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.
