I, THE undersigned, Manager, hereby give notice that an increase in the capital of the above-named company was, on the 14th day of September, 1897, resolved on.
The mode adopted for the increase is by issuing 25,000 new shares of three shillings each, in addition to the 100,000 shares now existing in the company.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.
Otago Mining District, 8th September, 1897.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
WE hereby give notice that we intend to alter the head and extend the course of a water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, held under License No. 958, dated 26th January, 1897, the race as altered to commence at a point in Bow Bell Creek opposite sheep-dip of George Matheson, in Section 33, Block V., Tuapeka East, being about 30 chains above the present head of the race, the course to be extended for a distance of 46 chains to the new head.
The length of such extension of race is 46 chains or thereabouts, and its intended course is easterly, through part of Sections 33 and 76, Block V., Tuapeka East, belonging to George Matheson.
The mean depth of such extension of race is 1 ft. 4 in., and the mean breadth is 2 ft., lifting six heads of water from Bow Bell Creek, as mentioned in said License No. 958.
Cost of construction: £36.
Time required for construction: One month.
