Smal Grazing-ran No. 96.—At present 1,435 aeres of this
run to the west of the Redan is under license to Mr. Bulen
for three years from 1st April, 1897, and posession of only
2,495 aeres will be given until 1st April, 1900, the half-yearly renta being £22 17s. 9d. until that time. This run
fronts the main road. It varies from low ridges with good
soi to very rough and stony hiltops. Neary half bus, most
of which is very good land, and would carry grass well
if cleard. There is a fairly good homestad site at the
north-east corner, which is sixteen miles and a half from
Kairoura and three miles and a half from the Omihi land-ing place. The north-west boudary is fenced by 280 chais
wire-fence and by an impassable guly; a part of the east
boundry is also fenced. Well watered. Alitude, 200 ft.
to 2,900 ft.

Smal Grazing-ran No. 97.—At present 645 aeres of this
run to the west of the Redan is under license to Mr. Bulen
for three years from 1st April, 1897, and posession of only
2,775 aeres will be given until 1st April, 1900, the half-yearly renta being £34 13s. 9d. until that time. Sitaed on the
main road, eighteen miles from Kairoura, and five miles
from Omihi landig place. The front of the run consist of
very good low ridges and slopes, some of which can be
ploughed. The hills at the back are poor and stony. 380
chais of wire-fence on boundry, and 90 chais of subdvisional fencig. Alitude, 400 ft. to 2,600 ft. Well watered.
