NOTICE is hereby given that the Native Appellate Court will sit at Dannevirke on the 16th day of September, 1897, to hear and determine the several appeals against decisions of the Native Land Court set forth in the Schedule hereto. All persons interested are hereby notified to attend at the time and place aforesaid.

"The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND, WHANGANUI DISTRICT.

In the matter of the block of land situate in the Whanganui District known as Wharepu, containing 245 acres, and bounded as follows: On the north by the Parapara No. 2 Block, on the east and south by the Maraetaua No. 1 Block, and on the west by the Mangawhero River.

AT a sitting of the Court held at Whanganui on the 22nd day of July, 1897, before Robert Ward, Esq., Judge, and Benjamin F. J. Edwards, Assessor:

It having been ascertained and decided that the majority of the owners of the said land consent to be incorporated as proprietors, and that the same is for their advantage:

It is hereby ordered and declared that the Natives whose names are set out in the Schedule indorsed hereon, and numbered respectively from 1 to 51, both inclusive, be a body corporate known by the name of “The Proprietors of Wharepu.”

It is further ordered that the general meeting of the proprietors be held at Manson’s Buildings, Taupo Quay, Whanganui, on the 21st day of August, 1897, at 10 a.m., for the purpose of nominating a Committee and fixing the number of its members.

As witness my hand and the seal of the Court, this 22nd day of July, 1897.

List of Candidates proposed for Nomination as a Committee under Section 123 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

In the matter of the land known as the Wharepu Block, and of an order of the Court, dated the 22nd day of July, 1897, constituting the owners of the said land a body corporate in pursuance of the provisions of section 122 of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the following candidates have been proposed for nomination as a Committee under section 123 of the said Act, viz.:
