visions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat be
lodged forbidding the same within one month from the date
of the Gazette containing this notice.

Private Advertisements.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between us, the under-
signed, at Gisborne, under the style of “Robertson
and Adair,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from
the 31st day of July, 1897.

The business of drapers and clothiers will be from this date
continued at the premises formerly occupied by the above
firm by Mr. Thomas J. Adair, who will discharge all
liabilities of the late firm, and who will receive all debts
due to the late firm, and his receipt alone will be a sufficient
discharge for the same.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and of the
Island Block Gold-Mining Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-
up of the above-named company by the Supreme
Court was, on the 2nd day of August, 1897, presented to
Mr. Justice Williams, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by
James Colgan, of Island Block, in the Colony of New
Zealand, miner, a creditor of the said company. And the
said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the
said Court on Friday, the 20th day of August, 1897, at
11 o’clock in the forenoon, and any creditor or contributory
of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an
order for the winding-up of the said company under the
above Act should appear at the time of hearing by himself
or his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition
will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said
company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on pay-
ment of the regulated charge for the same.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and the
amendments thereof; and in the matter of D. Henderson
and Co. (Limited).

On Tuesday, the 3rd day of August, 1897.

UPON the petition of Alexander Burnett, of Masterton,
Sawmiller, a creditor of the above-named company,
on the 20th day of July, 1897, preferred unto a Judge of the
Supreme Court; and upon hearing Mr. Gully, of counsel
for the petitioner; and upon reading the said petition, an
affidavit of the petitioner verifying the said petition, an
affidavit of the petitioner sworn the 19th day of June, 1897,
and filed herein, the affidavits of Herbert William Pownall
and Charles Aylmer Pownall, sworn the 28th day of June,
1897, and the 31st day of July, 1897, respectively, and filed
herein, the New Zealand Gazette of the 22nd day of July,
1897, the notice of motion filed herein, and the advertise-
ment of the said petition contained in the Wairarapa Daily
and Wairarapa Star newspapers: this Court doth order that
the said D. Henderson and Co. (Limited) be wound up by
the Court under the provisions of “The Companies Act,
1882”; and this Court doth further order and direct that
all subsequent proceedings be had in the District Court of
Wairarapa, holden at Masterton.

In the matter of the Ratanui Co-operative Dairy Association
(Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named
company, duly convened, and held at Ratanui on the
16th day of June, 1897, the following special resolution was
duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general
meeting of the members of the said company, also duly
convened, and held at the same place on the 3rd day of
July, 1897, the following resolution was confirmed:—

“That the Ratanui Co-operative Dairy Association
(Limited) be wound up voluntarily under the provisions
of ‘The Companies Act, 1882’; and that David Moir,
of Ratanui, Merchant, be and he is hereby appointed
Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”
