Land in Wainono Village Settlement for Selection on Lease in Perpetuity.

THE under-mentioned Crown land will be open for selection at this office, on lease in perpetuity, on and after Wednesday, the 15th September, 1897. If more than one application be received on the same day, priority of selection will be decided by ballot on the following day at 11 a.m.

VILLAGE-HOMESTEAD ALLOTMENT, WAIMATE SURVEY DISTRICT.—RESERVE 1126.

Weighted with £74 16s. 6d. as valuation for improvements.
This section is situated in the Wainono Village Settlement, lying north-east of the Township of Waimate. It contains undulating and flat agricultural land of good quality, and is suitable for occupation by gardeners and small farmers.

Land partly level and swampy; vegetation principally snow-tussock. Height above sea-level, from 100 ft. to 1,300 ft. Distance from Mossburn Railway-station, about two miles. This run is burdened with £196 10s. as valuation for improvements.

Section 8, Block XIII., alluvial flat, in grass; fronting cross roads; ditch and hedge on west and south sides; no bush; soil excellent; eleven miles and a half from Whakatane.
