WHEREAS by the two hundred and thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Land Districts of Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago described in the Schedule hereto, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 26 of the Parish of Katikati, containing by admeasurement 105 acres 2 roods, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by a road, 100 links wide, running along the shore of the Bay of Plenty; towards the south-east generally by a road, 100 links wide, running along the shore of Katikati Harbour; towards the north by Section No. 25 of the Parish of Katikati, 2345 links; towards the south-west by said Section No. 25 and Section No. 24 of the same parish, 8883 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 284 and 920 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a public recreation reserve.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres, more or less, being Section No. 43A, Parish of Mangawai. Bounded towards the west, north, and east by Section No. 43, 925, 836, and 1416 links; and towards the south by a public road, 654 and 750 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Auckland. For a quarry reserve.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 1 of suburban sections at Tairua, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 12 of Block II., Tairua Survey District, 1000 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 4 of suburban sections at Tairua, 500 links; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 3 and 2 of suburban sections at Tairua, 1000 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 500 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a public-school site.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 23 of Block IX., Whakatane Survey District, containing by admeasurement 26 acres 1 rood 16 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 1334 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 694 links; towards the south-west by lines, 2380 and 336 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 22 of Block IX., Whakatane Survey District, 2178 and 81 links, and by Section No. 43 of the Village of Taneatua, 333 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a public-school site.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 23 of Block II., Te Kuri Survey District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 100 and 408 links; towards the east by Section No. 2 of Block II., Te Kuri Survey District, 970 links; and towards the south and west by Section No. 22 of the same block, 504 and 991 links respectively, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a public-school site.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Allotment No. 45 of the Town of Whakatane, containing by admeasurement 3 roods, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Allotment No. 43 of the Town of Whakatane, 290 links; towards the east by Section No. 260A of the Parish of Waimana, 394 links; and towards the south-west generally by a public road, 88, 291, 97, and 72 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a reserve for buildings and other purposes of the Department of Agriculture.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Allotment No. 44 of the Town of Whakatane, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 17 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 356 links; towards the east and again towards the north by Allotment No. 41 of the Town of Whakatane, 207 and 121 links respectively; again towards the east by a public road, 153 links; and towards the south-west by a public road, 597 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a reserve for buildings and other purposes of the Department of Agriculture.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 410A of the Parish of Whangamarino, containing by admeasurement 18 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 410 of the Parish of Whangamarino, 350 links; towards the north-east by road reserve along Waikare Lake and by a stream; towards the south-west by Section No. 296 of the Parish of Whangamarino, 3390 links; and towards the west by Section No. 410 aforesaid, 900 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a plantation reserve.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 40 of the Parish of Te Mania, containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 32 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by a road, 100 links wide, running along the shore of Tauranga Harbour; towards the south-east by Section No. 41 of the Parish of Te Mania, 915 links; and towards the south-west and north-west by a road, 100 links wide, running along the shore of Tauranga Harbour, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a public landing-place.
