Amending Table of Fees payable in Wardens' Courts.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of July, 1897.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and one of “The Mining Act, 1891,” it is enacted that the fees to be taken in Wardens’ Courts shall be such as are set forth in the Table of Fees, No. XVII., in the Sixth Schedule to the said Act, subject, however, to alteration, amendment, and revocation from time to time by the Governor in Council, in like manner as if such fees had been fixed by him under the said Act: And whereas it is expedient to alter and amend the said Table of Fees as hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said section three hundred and one of “The Mining Act, 1891,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the said Table of Fees shall be amended by the substitution, in lieu of the first four items thereof, of the following items, viz.:

Summons to defendant, for each defendant to be served .. .. .. .. .. 2 0

Service of any summons by bailiff or police officer, for each defendant or witness to be served .. .. .. .. .. 3 0

And, in further pursuance of the power and authority aforesaid, and with the like advice and consent, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government doth hereby further order and declare that such amendment shall take effect on and after the first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

Vesting a Reserve in the Golden Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of July, 1897.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was permanently reserved for an agricultural and pastoral society’s showground on the twenty-eighth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven:
And whereas, in the opinion of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, it is expedient that the said land should be vested in the Golden Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in “The Golden Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association,” in trust, for a showground.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 50 acres and 14 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 1 and 4 of Section No. 113, Takaka, Waitapu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 3 of 113 and Section No. 2 of 113, 1137 links and 1101 links respectively; towards the south-east by a public road, 2390 links; towards the south-west by a public road and by Section No. 5 of 113, 1210 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 5 of 113 and Section No. 107, 349 links and 2031 links respectively: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson.
Also, all that parcel of land in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 23 acres 1 rood 16 perches, more or less, being Section No. 5 of 113, Block X., Takaka, Waitapu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 4 of 113 and by a public road, 1210 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 1 of 113 and by Section No. 112, 349 links and 795 links respectively; towards the south-west by a public road, 1146 links and 1204 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 107, 1187 links: excepting a public road, 50 links wide, which crosses the said parcel of land: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson.

Altering Boundaries of Waiapu and Cook Counties.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS in exercise of the powers conferred by section three of “The Counties Act 1886 Amendment Act, 1895” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), the Waiapu County Council and the Cook County Council respectively did, by an instrument bearing date the twenty-eighth day of April last, formally agree that the boundaries of the said counties should be altered to the extent set forth in the Schedule to the said instrument and also in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient that such alteration of boundaries be approved by the Governor in Council, and that such altered boundary be defined in terms of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that, on and after the publication of these presents in the New Zealand Gazette, the boundaries of the Counties of Waiapu and Cook respectively shall be those set forth under their respective headings in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
WAIAPU COUNTY.
Bounded towards the north and east by the sea from Cape Runaway to the southern boundary of the Anaura Block: thence towards the south generally by the southern boundary of that block to the Hikuwai Stream; thence by that stream and the southern boundaries of the Tauwhareparae Nos. 1 and 3 Blocks to the south-westernmost corner of the last-mentioned block; thence by the western boundary-line of Tauwhareparae No. 3 Block, 12800 links; thence by a line bearing due west, 12000 links, to Trig. Station No. 171; thence by a line bearing south 82° west, 12400 links, to Pakaurangi; thence by lines bearing south 6° 45′ east 8700 links, and south 30° 30′ west 5200 links, to Rimututahi; thence by lines bearing north 46° west 1400 links, north 32° west 1100 links, north 65° 30′ west 2800 links, north 10° 19′ west 5669 links, north 14° 39′ west 1098 links, north 15° 30′ west 10800 links, north 74° 30′ east 4500 links, north 9° 30′ east 6600 links, north 87° west 7500 links, north 45° west 1600 links, north 61° 30′ west 11800 links, south 87° west 2550 links, south 78° west 4500 links, north 20° 29′ east 17000 links, to the southern boundary-line of Tauwhareparae No. 2 Block; thence by that boundary-line to the Mangamauku River; thence by that river to its confluence with the Mata River; thence by the right bank of the Mata River to the eastern boundary-line of Huiarua No. 1 Block; thence by the eastern and south-western boundary-lines of Huiarua No. 1 Block, and a portion of the western boundary-line of Huiarua Block, to its intersection with the Whaka-
