Fallow Deer vested in South Canterbury Acclimatisation
Society.

HIS Excellency the Administrator of the Government
of the Colony of New Zealand directs it to be
notified that fallow deer have been turned at large in the
South Canterbury Acclimatisation District, and that the
property in such deer and their offspring is deemed to be
absolutely vested in the Chairman of the South Canterbury
Acclimatisation Society for a period of three years from the
date hereof, as provided by section 38 of "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880."

Special Order made by the Hawera County Council.—Okaiawa
and Mangatoki Ridings constituted.

THE following special order, made by the Hawera
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of "The Counties Act, 1886."

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order constituting Ridings of Okaiawa and Mangatoki.
Copy of resolutions adopted at a special meeting of the
Council held on Friday, 14th September, 1894:—
- That that portion of the late Waimate Riding bounded
on the east by the Waingongoro River, and on the west by
the Inaha Road, the boundary-line between Blocks III. and
IV., Waimate Survey District, and the Palmer Road, be
divided into two ridings, with names and boundaries follow-
ing, viz.:—
Okaiawa Riding: Bounded towards the south by the sea;
towards the east by the Waingongoro River; towards the
north by the Skeet Road; and towards the west by the
Inaha Road, the boundary-line of Blocks III. and IV., Wai-
mate Survey District, and the Palmer Road.
Mangatoki Riding: Bounded towards the south by the
Skeet Road; towards the east by the Waingongoro River;
towards the north by the Stratford County; and towards
the west by the Palmer Road.
- That the proposed Okaiawa and Mangatoki Ridings
have one member each.

Hawera County Council.—Special Order dividing the Hawera
County into New Ridings.
Whereas at a special meeting of the Council held on
Friday, 14th September, 1894, resolutions were adopted,—
(a.) That that portion of the late Waimate Riding bounded
on the east by the Waingongoro River, and on the west by
the Inaha Road, the boundary-line between Blocks III. and
IV., Waimate Survey District, and the Palmer Road, be
divided into two ridings with boundaries as therein set out.
(b.) That the proposed Okaiawa and Mangatoki Ridings
have one Councillor each.
Notice is hereby given that such resolution will be con-
firmed at a meeting of the Council to be held on Friday, the
25th day of January, 1895, and thereupon the said special
order shall take effect. A copy of the proposed special order
may be inspected at the Council's office, Hawera.

confirmed at an adjourned meeting of the Council held on
