Mining Notices.

I, THE undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Ormond Gold-mining Company as a no-liability
company under the provisions of “The Mining Companies
Act, 1894.”

  1. The name of the company is to be the Ormond Gold-
    mining Company (No Liability).

  2. The place of operations (or intended operations) is at
    Karangahake, Hauraki Mining District.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at
    40 and 41, New Zealand Insurance Buildings, Queen Street,
    Auckland.

  4. The value of the company’s property, including claim
    or lease ground and machinery, is six hundred pounds.

  5. The number of shares in the company is seventy thou-
    sand, of two shillings each.

  6. The number of shares subscribed for is fifty-two
    thousand.

  7. The name of the Manager is Henry Gilfillan, jun.

  8. The names and addresses and occupations of the share-
    holders, and the number of shares held by each at this date,

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.

Hauraki District, 30th January, 1897.

To the Warden at Thames.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a water-
race to divert and use water for mining purposes,
commencing at a point at a peg marked X on a branch
of the Waiparapara Stream, Tairua, and terminating
at a peg marked X at its junction with the Waiparapara
Stream.

The length of such race is 1 mile or thereabouts, and its
intended course is about westerly.

Marked out 27th January, 1897.

To be used in connection with Wharekawa No. 1 Special
Claim.

The mean depth of such race is 1 ft. 6 in., and the mean
breadth is 2 ft. 6 in., and it is proposed to divert ten Govern-
ment heads of water.

Cost of construction: £500.

Time required for construction: Twelve months.

Number and date of miner’s right: 5982; 29th June,
1896.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a
water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes,
commencing at a point at a peg marked ➔ on the Wai-
parapara Stream, Tairua, and terminating at a peg marked
➔ about a quarter of a mile from its junction with Tairua
River.

The length of such race is two miles or thereabouts, and
its intended course is about northerly.

Marked out 29th January, 1897.

To be used for Tarawera Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 Special
Claims.

The mean depth of such race is 2 ft. 6 in., and the mean
breadth is 4 ft., and it is proposed to divert twenty Govern-
ment heads of water.

Cost of construction: £750.

Time required for construction: Twelve months.

Number and date of miner’s right: 4221; 5th June, 1896.

its intended course is westerly.

Marked out 27th January, 1897.

To be used for the Wharekawa Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 5 Special
Claims.

The mean depth of such race is 1 ft. 6 in., and the mean
breadth is 2 ft. 6 in., and it is proposed to divert ten Govern-
ment heads of water.

Cost of construction: £500.

Time required for construction: Twelve months.

Number and date of miner’s right: 4221; 5th June, 1896.
