land known as the Puketapu C2 Block, held under partition order dated 20th July, 1894, in favour of Mere Hare, and containing the following restrictions: “Inalienable, except with the consent of the Governor, by sale or by mortgage, or by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years.”

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor by the owners of the land described in the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such lands contained in the Crown grant dated the third day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, and now contained in the Land Transfer certificate of title, Volume Eighty-two, folio two hundred and seven, bearing date the nineteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has recommended that such restrictions be removed:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the fifty-second section of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” and in accordance with the recommendation of the Native Land Court, do hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant and certificate of title on the alienation of the said land are hereby removed.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land, containing 898 acres 1 rood 5 perches, situate in the Wellington Land District, and known as Eketahuna No. 2 of Block X., Mangaone Survey District, and being the whole of the land in certificate of title, Vol. lxxxii., folio 207, containing the following restrictions: “Inalienable by sale, or by lease for a longer period than twenty-one years, or by mortgage, except with the consent of the Governor being previously obtained to every such sale, lease, or mortgage.”
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this nineteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven.

Know all men by these presents that at an ordinary meeting of the Seatoun Road Board, duly convened, and held on the 13th day of April, 1897, the following resolution was passed —that is to say:—
“ That the provisions of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,’ be adopted by the Seatoun Road Board, and that the same shall be in force in the Seatoun Road District from the date of the publication of this resolution in the New Zealand Gazette, pursuant to section 76 of ‘The Road Boards Act, 1882.’ ”
