Section 2, broken forest land ; soil fair ; well watered. Parts Sections 9, 10, 11, rough to undulating land ; soil fair ; bush scorched. Sections 13, 14, 18A, undulating land, soil fair. Sections 13 and 14 contain about 30 acres kahikatea forest and swamp. Section 20, soil of fair quality ; about 25 acres bush land, balance open. Sections 28 and W. 27, good soil ; 45 acres bush, 48 acres cleared and grassed. Section S. 24, all forest land ; fair soil. Sections 30 to 34, undulating forest land ; fair soil. Sections 33 and 34 comprise 20 acres kahikatea swamp. Section S. 38, undulating fern spurs and kahikatea swamp. Parts Sections 39 and 40, broken land with scorched bush. Parts Sections 42 to 46, open, poor land. Parts Sections 61 to 63, part poor and part of fair quality ; contains about sixteen kauri-trees, or about 60,000 sup. ft. timber. These lands are situated about sixteen miles from Mangapai.
